The Hollywood star added her name to the roster of A-listers attending Formula E races this season after Leonardo DiCaprio and Orlando Bloom celebrated Bloom’s 40th at the Marrakesh E-Prix and Kylie Minogue joined the party in Santiago.

Miller wasn't the only celeb in attendance as royalty in the Duchess of York and the Prince of Monaco also attended alongside Tess Daly.

The 36-year-old soaked in the festival atmosphere in the motorsport mad capital of Italy as she chatted with teams, drivers and fans at the track and insisted the unique racing on the city streets had left her a Formula E convert.

“Rome is the most beautiful city in the world so that was a big reason in wanting to come here,” she said. “But it has been absolutely fascinating. Seeing the cars racing on the streets is what is really extraordinary about Formula E and I’m loving it.

“This is the first time that I’ve ever been at a Formula E event and it has been really exciting. It is great to see cars racing in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

“It is fantastic that something that is so fun can also be helping to make a difference to the world we live in as well which is something very close to my heart.

“I love cars and I love racing but this has been something completely new and unique for me. Exciting racing and a beautiful city really is a wonderful combination.”

The pair were given the full Formula E experience in Rome with Miller being taken for a spin around the race track at top speed in the BMW i8 Qualcomm safety car by Formula E founder and CEO Alejandro Agag.

They were also given a tour of the Venturi Formula E garage alongside Prince Albert of Monaco where she met with Venturi drivers Edoardo Mortara and Maro Engel to learn all about the cars and the importance of the technology.

And they were treated to an exciting qualification period which saw the highs and lows of driving in Formula E. Two drivers suffered a pit-lane crash but wonderful driving was also on show – Mahindra Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist taking the pole ahead of Britain’s Sam Bird and Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans in third.

Miller was welcomed to Rome Friday night as she attended a stunning Formula E cocktail party with Agag, FIA President Jean Todt and The Duchess of York.
